We are seeking an experienced leader for this newly formed role overseeing pharmaceutical research programs being executed out of our client’s formulation/analytical laboratories. The successful candidate will manage the team responsible for delivering contract development projects that range from pre-formulation activities through to manufacture of clinical trial material and all regulatory studies leading to registration and commercial supply. Formulations include both solids and liquids containing new chemical entities or generic API’s.
We are looking for a great communicator with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly with a diverse range of people.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing technical oversight for formulation and analytical development projects, meeting timelines and maintaining data standards
- Mentoring of teams and individual scientists
- Facilitating communications between project team members and project sponsors
- Preparing cost estimates for new project proposals
- Participating in the development of the departmental budget and managing projects to achieved budgeted revenue targets.
Qualifications include
- an advanced degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or another relevant scientific discipline
- Significant (ideally 15+ years) experience in pharmaceutical sciences or similar eg. generics or contract research
- Plenty of people and project management and leadership experience
- A good understanding of the requirements for the CMC technical section of a regulatory dossier
- A reputation for high work standards, ethics and personal integrity.

Manager – Regulatory Affairs – Animal Health

The primary responsibility of this role is to represent the company when communicating and negotiating with FDA or other regulatory officials concerning requirements for obtaining approvals of submissions. Communicates current regulatory requirements to project teams as well as middle and upper management. Maintains a current knowledge of regulatory requirements by publications, as well as by participating in the working groups of trade associations such as the Animal Health Institute. Responsible for assuring the projects assigned are carried out in full compliance with government regulations. Maintains knowledge and skills in electronic submissions to CVM-FDA. Handles several continuing projects simultaneously; has a direct impact on regulatory agency decisions as to whether products may be legally marketed. Responsible for assuring that the regulatory aspects are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Assists activities of regulatory affairs representative assigned to maintenance projects when required.
Qualifications include a BS in related science area with 12+ years relevant experience, MS in related science area with 10+ years relevant experience or preferable DVM with 6+ years relevant experience or PhD in related area with 6+ years relevant experience. Must have thorough knowledge of applicable federal regulations with extensive experience interacting with DVM-FDA, as well as an understanding of FDA procedures and policies. Must be detailed oriented with strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, expert skill level with handling of electronic documents (e.g., Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat), presentation software (e.g, PowerPoint) and project timelines (e.g., Microsoft Project), and an aptitude to learn new systems. Must work well in cross-functional teams that exist in the product development matrix structure. Just possess good supervisory skills in coordinating large regulatory projects and working with members of the regulatory affairs staff. Willing to travel to US and international locations.

Sr Director / Director – Business Development

Our client is seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs professional to be responsible for the compilation and submission to CVM of generic animal drug applications with focus on high quality and meeting timelines. This position is responsible for all major gift revenue from high net-worth individuals. Veterinary Services Manager – West

The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical training and support for the field sales force and corporate veterinary accounts. Additionally, hands on involvement in the conduct of field studies will be an important function. Key interactions with marketing, sales, research and development along with academicians and other veterinary key opinion leaders will be important in the development of scientifically robust technical and marketing materials as part of a comprehensive effort to properly position leading edge veterinary technologies. Travel is projected to be 50%-75% overnight. The Veterinary Support Manager will support the sales force through a range of activities including visits to veterinary accounts, training for corporate veterinary accounts, lectures at local, state and/or national veterinary meetings and conferences and help develop sales and marketing materials. Build awareness and endorsement of key animal health products through activities at veterinary schools, veterinary technician schools and their programs designed to share information with key opinion leaders in the veterinary community. Actively participate in developing, conducting and monitoring clinical field studies along with the required summary development, manuscript authorship and publication/presentation of data. Develop clear and regular reports of achievements and milestones. Identify and evaluate areas for current and future product development and portfolio expansion.
Qualifications include a minimum of 5 years experience, holding a position in a veterinary technical services capacity or similar responsibility demonstrating strong leadership skills is preferred. Will also consider candidates directly from a veterinary practice. Experience working with veterinary school researches and clinicians and experience in veterinary pharmaceuticals are a plus. In addition to having a strong command of companion animal medicine, the successful candidate must have excellent public speaking, presentation and writing skills, the ability to influence using facts and data, and have well developed organizational tools. The ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment is a must. A strong background in Microsoft Office Suite software and Windows is also required. A DVM or VMD is required. Board certification in a small animal discipline is preferred.
