The incumbent will provide organizational leadership in the area of animal health and welfare. Responsibilities include providing strategic and budget oversight, participating in long- and short-term strategic development, promoting and facilitating development of internal leaders and experts, collaboration with other program and infrastructure departments and external groups, tracking departmental success through objective metrics and subjective evaluations, integrating programs to optimize services, manage costs, and maximize impact, developing medical record processes designed to improve services and efficiencies, collect/analyze animal welfare/program data for public/professional consumption, negotiating program specific contracts designed to generate program supporting income, developing communication processes, gathering input and gaining consensus when appropriate, performing annual performance reviews and recommending salaries and promotions, developing key influencer relationships, providing communications department with data and experts to support mediate initiatives and manage staff.</p>
<p>Qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, preferred board-certification, MBA or extensive business and leadership training, minimum of 7 years as a leader in an animal welfare/health organization, experience in marketing and corporate relations , solid knowledge of the animal welfare/health industry, ability to develop business strategies in line with the organization&#8217;s goals, must bridge diverse areas of expertise: medicine/surgery, toxicology, behavior, research, business strategy and marketing. Leadership and staff development skills are key, experience working with unions is helpful.</p>

Partner with Segment Lead, Marketing Manager(s) and communications agency to lead, develop, implement and metric marketing communications campaigns. Manage communications and synergies across segments to ensure alignment of all key stakeholders. Ensure all communications touch points align with marketing strategies and all messaging is appropriate and consistent across mediums and portfolios. Provide strategic counsel to Marketing and other internal clients to ensure appropriate messaging and medium mix accomplish set marketing objectives by customer segment and therapeutic category. Optimize use of multi-channel campaigns to create and further customer and prospect dialogue. Manage day-to-day relationship with the communications agency and other suppliers ensuring timely interaction and follow through. Work with marketing managers to forecast and manage an allocated budget and provide analysis and tracking on a regular basis. Oversee daily activities of an associate manager also aligned to the beef segment. Oversee the production, inventory and distribution of marketing materials. Serve as the primary point of contact for agency, trade associations, industry groups, partner companies and all marketing and and promotion suppliers. Manage all public relations initiatives for Beef, Food Safety and Genomics and act as liaison to public affairs teams. Manage the copy approval process for all aligned marketing and sales materials. Develop appropriate metrics related to marketing communications programs to measure effectiveness. Ensure logistics and communications initiatives for trade shows, customer meetings and internal meetings are developed and implemented effectively. Manage the production of all graphic design projects implemented in house.</p>

<p>Qualifications include: BS or BA in communications or business. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.  10+ years of related marketing communications or advertising agency experience required. Related animal health and pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Must demonstrate excellent marketing communications skills and knowledge, strategic thinking and implementation, as well as acumen in budget forecasting and management. Strong writing, editing and verbal communications skills a must. Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and executing segment and brand communications strategies, programs and tactics that consistently and effectively deliver messages across brands, therapeutic areas and customer segments in support of overall business plans. Represent company in public speaking engagements, industry meetings and important sales situations. Incumbent will participate and influence disease programs to increase awareness of Real-Time PCR products. Establish, drive and manage strategic collaborations with key opinion leaders in public and private labs. Build and manage relationships with government/industry, disease committees, universities, reference laboratories and vaccine-pharmaceutical companies, producers and veterinarians.</p>
<p>Qualifications include 7+ years of experience in the production animal diagnostic space with strong understanding of diagnostic practices, customer needs and market dynamics. Proven ability to develop and foster relationships with KOL. Incumbent must have excellent technical, project management and planning skills. DVM, animal diagnostic company and qPCR experience strongly preferred.</p>

Lead an ongoing analysis of marketplace and network with opinion leaders, animal health and veterinary associations, customers and partners to ensure gains leadership in this area. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The National Account Manager identifies and establishes partnerships with distributors to support the sales of products to veterinarians by promoting sales and providing tools and education to veterinary distributor personnel in order to achieve the sales budget.  The incumbent will develop an annual distributor plan which will include annual purchase goals, margin plan, distributor sales representative commission and incentive plan, rebate/purchase incentives, product marketing/promotions, distributor programs, advertising, training of distributor field representatives and distributor branches and meetings. Will be accountable for the monthly reporting of distributor sales activities to senior management. This report will contain a summary of the sales numbers versus budget, activities executed during the month and plans moving forward to achieve budgeted targets.   Will motivate, guide and provide education to distributor sales representatives. The National Account Manager is responsible for creating and executing the educational curriculum for the distributor sales representatives.  This position is also responsible and accountable for the timely delivery of the sales tools the distributor reps will use to promote the product line. The National Account Manager is responsible for creating and executing the activities surrounding the annual distributor national sales meetings and individual regional meetings. Recruiting the assistance of regional managers and territory managers is essential to completing this responsibility.</p>
<p>Qualifications include a Bachelors degree. 8-10 years of animal health sales experience. 3-5 years of regional management or distributor management experience.  Travel requirement up to 75% of the time. They will achieve this goal through recruiting, hiring, coaching and supervising veterinarians and by working with field directors to ensure the presence of outstanding paraprofessional teams.</p>
<p>In addition, Medical Directors partner with field staff to ensure outstanding business practices and a high degree of professionalism in each hospital. Medical Directors are expected to teach medical and surgical skills and to evaluate performance through frequent visits to hospitals. </p>
<p>Qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree is required. A minimum of two years leadership experience and three years clinical experience is required, with proven ability to perform all basic surgeries, including use of all standard medical instruments and equipment. At the time of hire, an active veterinary license in good standing and related controlled substance licenses are required for the state in which the majority of the MD&#8217;s hospitals exist. For any additional states where the MD has hospitals at the time of hire, or if a new territory is acquired, necessary licenses must be obtained at the next available licensing date. All licenses must remain active for each state in which the Medical Director has hospital responsibility.</p>
