Sr Director / Director – Business Development

Our client is seeking an experienced business development leader to manage and support all business development aspects of a fast growing Animal Health company. Primary responsibilities include: API sourcing, business partner identification, partner selection and deal execution.

The incumbent will develop/build/foster relationships with third parties and leverage those relationships to identify potential partners for API, finished dose formulation/development and finished dose manufacturing. He/She will conduct diligence to select partners, negotiate business terms and manage contracts to execution. The incumbent will analyze API needs and optimize API supply base by achieving the right combination of quality, speed, reliability and cost and will assist the VP of Strategic Portfolio Planning in financial modeling, specifically understanding key assumptions including upsides and risks. The Sr. Director/Director will work closely with cross-functional team to solicit input on partner capabilities, pattern GMP compliance and technical details of any proposals/deals and will work with Product Development to smoothly transition products from deal to project initiation.

Director – Annual Giving

The Director’s primary responsibility is the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program; including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of donor appeals, web communications, prospect research and donor/gift acknowledgment. The Director oversees all non-major gift revenue from the Foundation. This position is a senior leadership role and is responsible for multiple direct reports. The incumbent will achieve non-major revenue metrics, determine annual giving goals, oversee website design, maintenance and web communications, focus on effective communication and solicitation activities, build strategies for systematically moving donors to higher giving levels, manage a mid-level donor prospect portfolio, develop and maintain and effective organizational stewardship plan, represent the organization at trade shows, industry conferences and other relevant outreach opportunities and will maintain a database.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, strong fundraising experience with three to five years of success raising annual giving revenue, ability to develop targeted messaging, strong management experience, understanding of fundraising best practices, results-oriented, excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills required. The successful candidate should have experience working in a database, building reports, running queries and maintaining accurate records. Must be comfortable in a diverse range of social and business settings and speaking in public and should have a passion for animals. The incumbent should have experience in managing a department budget, show openness to new ideas and their implementation and ability to react and adapt to changing situations and be flexible.

Senior Vice President – Animal Health Services

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership to Animal Health Services teams and to provide guidance on strategic development and alignment with the long-range goals of our client’s organization. The incumbent will provide organizational leadership in the area of animal health and welfare. Responsibilities include providing strategic and budget oversight, participating in long- and short-term strategic development, promoting and facilitating development of internal leaders and experts, collaboration with other program and infrastructure departments and external groups, tracking departmental success through objective metrics and subjective evaluations, integrating programs to optimize services, manage costs, and maximize impact, developing medical record processes designed to improve services and efficiencies, collect/analyze animal welfare/program data for public/professional consumption, negotiating program specific contracts designed to generate program supporting income, developing communication processes, gathering input and gaining consensus when appropriate, performing annual performance reviews and recommending salaries and promotions, developing key influencer relationships, providing communications department with data and experts to support mediate initiatives and manage staff.

Qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, preferred board-certification, MBA or extensive business and leadership training, minimum of 7 years as a leader in an animal welfare/health organization, experience in marketing and corporate relations , solid knowledge of the animal welfare/health industry, ability to develop business strategies in line with the organization’s goals, must bridge diverse areas of expertise: medicine/surgery, toxicology, behavior, research, business strategy and marketing.  The incumbent is responsible for development of strategic marketing plans, tactical marketing materials and for driving sales of current and new products into specific market segment (s) of responsibility. Senior Manager, Business Development and Strategic Collaborations

The incumbent will manage business development and strategic collaborations and will lead the evaluation of new market and business opportunities in the production animal diagnostic space as well as in adjacent markets; identify and promote new marketing channels such as OEm partners; support the market development, product management and sales functions as a thought leader. This position will be external facing. Deep domain expertise in this field required (7+ years). Be regarded as a thought leader internally and externally. Establish, drive and manage strategic collaborations with key opinion leaders in public and private labs. Build and manage relationships with government/industry, disease committees, universities, reference laboratories and vaccine-pharmaceutical companies, producers and veterinarians.

Qualifications include 7+ years of experience in the production animal diagnostic space with strong understanding of diagnostic practices, customer needs and market dynamics. Proven ability to develop and foster relationships with KOL. Incumbent must have excellent technical, project management and planning skills. DVM, animal diagnostic company and qPCR experience strongly preferred.

Vice President / Director of Marketing

The VP/Director of Marketing will provide commercial direction for the organization and its products.  The incumbent will develop and execute a business plan for each product to reach company growth objectives including sales to keep corporate practice chains, buying groups and independent vet practices and home delivery and alternative channels as well as distributors. The incumbent will manage marketing activities in close coordination with Sales and Veterinary Services and will work with Regulatory, Finance, Operations and Product Development.
