Swine Marketing Manager
The incumbent is responsible for development of strategic marketing plans, tactical marketing materials and for driving sales of current and new products into specific market segment (s) of responsibility. A strategic analysis of customer needs/desires, competitors, and the regulatory environment will be used in developing strategic plans, tactical marketing plans and sales support activities. Works closely with product managers and the sales organization to achieve growth objectives. Meets financial and corporate growth objectives. The incumbent will prepare written strategic marketing plans for segments of responsibility in conjunction with management. This includes assembly and evaluation of information, ideas and recommendations from sales and external environment. Provides detailed direction to the sales organization for achievement of marketing objectives in terms of specific actions and programs to be undertaken. Identifies market potential and marketing strategy, helps establish pricing. Defines, executes and evaluates marketing campaigns. Budgets and oversees advertising and promotional activities including print, electronic and direct mail. Assist Product Managers with new product ideas, product launches and New Product Planning Manuals.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, two to five years professional sales or marketing experience in agriculture or industry related field.
