Bull Stud Veterinarian-Official Center Veterinarian

Bull Stud Veterinarian-Official Center Veterinarian. The veterinarian will oversee protocols in regards to biosecurity, animal welfare and animal health. The veterinarian will understand and maintain principles for trade in regards to semen and live animals and will understand, maintain and reinforce biosecurity guidelines. The incumbent will review and sign health certificates, seal semen tanks, perform regulatory testing, perform EU & CSS testing and give guidance in scheduling. The incumbent will oversee cattle testing and moving and will interact and communicate effectively with regulatory councils. The incumbent will maintain standards for the passing of routine inspections, perform physical examinations and oversee product and equipment inventory and ordering. The incumbent will perform surgical procedures and be available for on-call emergencies.

Qualifications include a Director of Veterinary Medicine or related degree with veterinary license in Wisconsin and USDA accreditation.
