Equine Senior Sales Representative

Equine Senior Sales Representative (West Coast location)-The Equine Senior Sales Representative is responsible for the promotion of sales of equine products with emphasis on achieving rapid market penetration and repeat sales to veterinarians and horse owners. This role requires advanced knowledge of the equine market paired with the passion to introduce innovative products that enhance the well-being of horses and foals. This individual will be the face of the company and will need to understand the importance of building a strong image of the company and its products with customers, potential customers and industry contacts.

The incumbent will drive product penetration and sales with veterinarians and horse owners through face-to-face contact, sales calls and meetings to achieve dose and dollar volume shares. The incumbent will achieve territory objectives, including sales plan and operating within a budget. The incumbent will lead all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon company resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery and implementation and will be responsible for knowing the market, market potential and keeping current on changes within the market. The incumbent will service accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule in a manner that is productive, cost-effective and results oriented. The incumbent will collaborate with the director to identify market opportunities, provide customer feedback and recommend changes in products and services. The incumbent will act as a key liaison with veterinary medical associations and other professional associations within the market and will maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing publications, establishing networks, attending educational meetings and other resources.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree, 5+ years of equine sales experience and related experience in equine veterinary/and or horse owner sales, key competencies include interpersonal skills, initiative, drive, resilience, teamwork, organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, credible persuasive skills are of paramount importance, intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office suite.
