Key Account Manager
The incumbent will develop and maintain long-term business relationships with a portfolio of assigned customers, connecting with key decision makers and influencers to drive financial performance towards budgeted sales and profit goals. This individual will be the lead point of contact for all matters pertaining to their customers. The KAM will conduct product training and education on new and/or focus products to distribution inside and outside sales teams and will roll-out marketing programs to distributor marketing teams/purchasing teams to insure proper roll-out and execution. The KAM will monitor current sales performance vs. budget and ensure the month is on track, will develop budgets for key accounts, assess account opportunities and account trends that would expose any sales opportunities. The incumbent will develop quarterly plans and focus on products that will drive the business towards hitting budgeted sales and margin objectives.
Qualifications include: an experienced sales professional who has had experience calling on animal health distribution, 10+ years of sales experience, preferably experience in selling and dealing with private labels. The successful candidate will have a BS degree in Business Management or Ag Business or related business field, strong communication and organizational skills and will possess strong business acumen skills and be able to interact with all levels of management. Experience working for an Animal Health manufacturer is required.
