Veterinary Internist Michigan.  Our client operates an emergency veterinary practice that is open 24  hours a day, 365 days per year and also operates an internal medicine veterinary practice, which provides advanced diagnostic and treatment for patients. We are searching for a veterinary internist to utilize their knowledge, skill and experience to enhance our client’s overall ability to provide the best patient care for clients and referring veterinarians. The incumbent will interact with emergency veterinarians and specialty partners and review cases and provide recommendations. The incumbent will see internal medicine cases as referred through the emergency practice and the referral base of day practice veterinarians and specialists. Our client has an established internal medicine referral base and this is a great opportunity for a new internist to join a privately owned practice that enables a more personalized approach to specialty medicine.  Each patient is given the individualized attention they deserve and the practice provides customers a more affordable option for specialty care. The practice is AAHA certified and the only practice in the region to offer a 24 hour veterinary emergency hospital that welcomes all exotic and avian species. The practice partners with highly regarded cardiology and ophthalmology specialists in-house at both locations.

The practice utilizes state of the art equipment and sophisticated diagnostics and monitoring tools including video endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography, capnography and complete on-site diagnostic laboratory with blood gas and coagulation profiling capability. There is a dedicated suite with Pentax video endoscopy equipment including 9mm and 11.5mm Gastroscopes, a Bronchoscope, Rhinoscope and a GE LOGIC P6 Vet Pro Ultrasound unit.
