Veterinary Sales Representative – Orlando / Tampa, FL

The Veterinary Sales Representative will focus on generating revenue and growing market share in the US through lead generation, closing sales, establishing and nurturing strong relationships with key veterinary customers and distribution partner sales teams.  The successful candidate will have entrepreneurial spirit, drive, and commitment to hard work and excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Lead joint sales calls with distributor reps on key account calls
  • Identify market potential by qualifying accounts
  • Initiate sales process by scheduling appointments; making initial presentation; understanding account requirements
  • Close sales by building rapport with potential account; explaining product and service capabilities; overcoming objections; preparing contracts
  • Routinely call on key customers and influence leaders to increase consumer demand for company products
  • Organize and conduct product training for customers and their clients and assist in the development of selling skills and product knowledge of practice personnel
  • Contributes information to market strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from accounts
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related tasks and activities as needed
  • Represent company at national conventions or trade shows

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND and/or EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have the following experience or knowledge in the following areas:

  • Experience in field sales, cold calling and building a business
  • Thorough understanding of the companion animal Veterinary Industry, preferably with in-clinic experience (as  a Veterinary Technician or Practice Manager)
  • A team player with an innate entrepreneurial drive, embodying an attitude of persistence and patience
  • Skillful coaching, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills and a professional appearance
  • Ability to analyze financial information and manage a budget
  • Computer competency is a position requirement – including a CRM software
